Hey there Sister! I love stories! There is an old hymn we used to sing in the church I grew up in that sums up the mission I’m on… “I love to tell the story… of Jesus and His love.”
There is a big difference between a story and THE Story. As a mother I hear a lot of stories. Everyday my kids have stories to tell me about their day and I get to tell them stories about my day. In our home we do our best to keep Jesus at the center of our stories – to remember He is our hero and He never fails even if we do. When we keep our eyes on Jesus our stories reflect The Story and declare the Gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone around us.
Ephesians 5:26 is our “anchor” verse at The Grace Mask. These words, originally directed towards husbands, fuel my passion to encourage my kids and my sisters in Christ to ACCEPT God’s Love, ENGAGE in God’s Love, DRESS in God’s Love, WALK in God’s Love and by doing so PROCLAIM God’s Love to everyone.
“Christ’s love makes the church whole. His words evoke her beauty. Everything He does and says is designed to bring the best out of her…” The Message
This word makes the Bride of Christ easy to spot in a crowd! But I know there is a unique story behind that wholeness, that beauty, and that ‘best”. What is YOUR story? While I am not able to respond to and feature every story submission here on the blog or in the magazine, I can promise you that the simple work of writing your story will bless you and encourage you. Be faithful to tell your story! After you write it down and before you submit it here, share it with someone else over coffee and watch what God does! When you share it here with me tell me all about how God worked through your faithfulness to share the Gospel. I can’t wait to read it! I know I will be blessed.
