Fall 2017: Sariah

My name is Sariah Forth. I live in Flora, Illinois, with my family and work in the North Clay school district. My assignment for the Fall Introductory issue is The Dress: Jesus’ Love. Aurelia is my cousin and we’ve talked quite a bit about Ephesians 5:26 so I look forward to sharing my story regarding the Love of Jesus but for now let me tell you about his Grace in my life.

Made Whole…

I was raised in a Christian family. God’s love has surrounded me all my life. My family has influenced me greatly with their unconditional love towards me and those around them. They have guided me towards God since I was a young girl. Knowing and understanding God’s love and grace has helped me show others what his unmerited favor means. For me, the best ministry is active love. Displaying what God’s love looks like is the greatest example of what God does when he comes into our lives.

His Words Evoking Beauty…

His word declares that no matter what I do or what I look like, God’s love for me never changes. He loves me in all my faults and all my sin. His love is unconditional. I can fall on my face, it doesn’t matter. He will always forgive me. His love for us is steadfast and never ceases. His mercies never come to an end. (Lamentations 3:21-23)

Bringing Out the BEST…

The support the Church gives is amazing. My Church is my family and friends showing the unconditional love they have for me. They are with me through good and bad times. We are stronger together as one body and we cannot be shaken. When there is a need the Church comes together to support and lift up those who need it.
